Pitch stared at the small vile in his hand. The last abominable poison left alive. It was the only vile object that the Guardians had failed to destroy all those years ago. There was enough to create one, and he had come very close to doing so. If Jack hadn't broken free from her control so soon, she would have had her own dark prince. As Pitch had learned many centuries ago, it was no easy task to create a fearsome being. First he needed a soul that had been broken. Otherwise, with a strong enough will, there was a possibility that they could break free from the darkness. As long as the Guardians lived, Pitch knew he would never have any chance of turning Jack. No matter how much Pitch could break Jack's soul, they were the only force in the world that had the power and will to fix him. If he could get Jack to kill them, there would be no one left to repair the damage he had caused. Not even Mother Nature would be able to repair the damage. Pitch let out a sigh knowing that any remaining chance was now gone. After all, he had decided to prevent anyone from having the winter spirit. In a matter of moments he had taken the life of the winter spirit on his own. How much time had passed now for a month. If it had really been that long, Pitch wondered. The more Pitch thought about the matter, the clearer the series of events became in his mind. From the moment Jack had slipped out of his control to the moment he had wrapped his hand around the winter spirit's neck. He could still see the look in Jack's eyes as he struggled to free himself from his grasp. To free yourself and be able to breathe once again. But perhaps what he could see most clearly was the sight of life fading from the… center of the paper… and yet. Author's Note: Well, this is certainly a much darker side of Mother Nature than I intended to show, but hey. Sorry, did the update take that long or not? Sometimes it's hard to keep track of my posts. I'm not sure how I'm going to write the next one or what I want to happen. Open to ideas about what might happen next. I'm also not sure how long it will be before I post again. I'm currently planning on redoing my room, among other things. That and I'm starting to have trouble remembering to actually write the story. I play it over and over in my mind for a couple of days before I write it down or I write it down in a notebook somewhere and just so I can write it down. That's where I found some of this. I actually wrote this in November and forgot about it. Anything that's pretty rambling for now. Please review and tell me what you think.
