Many American singers like Madonna influenced fashion trends in the 1980s, made visible bra strap and wearing underwear as outerwear a trend and became very popular during the 1980s. Michael Jackson is also another famous singer who influenced fashion trends, he wore studded black leather jackets which many people thought were cool, so they also became a trend. Many women's dresses were covered in sequences and diamonds. Metallic and bright, neon bags and shoes were often worn with their outfits. Throughout the 80's many styles and colors were worn, the trend would never stop and many different styles were continuously created. Many people would wear tight neon pants and others would wear baggy pants (also known as MC Hammer pants) and it would be considered normal because there were many different trends going on, not just one.
