As a student it is very important that you take charge of your learning by coordinating your thinking skills, having the ability to develop your skills and also having self-generated opinions, emotional state and actions planned and constantly adapted. Rancière's educational principle of equality of intelligence makes enhanced learning possible because it motivates students to perform tasks, to find meaning in tasks, and to feel competent to do them on their own. Rancière in the book The Ignorance of a Schoolmaster uses the case of Joseph Jacotot who was a French teacher who did not know Flemish but had to teach French to a group of Flemish students. Since he did not know Flemish, he faced the challenge of teaching French to these students, but since the students were self-regulated, they were able to do even more than what was expected of them with the little the teacher had provided to them. The purpose of this essay is to discuss whether or not Rancière's educational principle of equality of intelligence makes meaningful and enhanced learning possible and also provide reasons and facts. Children learn by making mistakes and learning from them, regardless of gender, social status and skin color they are able to understand and speak the language of their parents, however, this type of general intelligence of self-instruction is not considered an education formal, is that a student needs the guidance of an expert. We therefore have schools where there are educators/teachers who introduce us to "adult knowledge". Rather than lecturing, teachers are facilitators of learning, providing students with the information and tools needed to master a subject. Occasionally, teachers at ...... middle of paper ...... have a particular way of learning which encourages them to work individually and also to be responsible, to have an open mind and this will also help help the student to develop their understanding. The student is more important, so if a student does not want to learn there will be no effective learning and therefore the presence of the teacher is null. However, if the student wants to learn, effective learning will occur whether or not the teacher is present.
