Some of us will adopt the touch screen of our PC and laptop or any device of our choice, while others may not. “Already at the end of the 1980s, Bill Gates had launched the concept of “Windows Everywhere”. (Anthony 37). Bill Gates imagined that there would be a Windows operating system on all devices so that anyone could access Windows from a PC or laptop and you could even have it on a tablet or smartphone. Now that we are in the year 2014 we are there because Windows 8 has been released to the public and it is time for Microsoft to shift gears with the evolution of the PC or quietly accept their defeat in the PC world. Microsoft would like the consumer to embrace Windows 8 and accept the dramatic redesign so it can win the PC wars. They want to sell their products more than competitors like Apple or Android, so they will continue to be the leaders in the PC world. Microsoft has been the leader of PCs for decades and if it wants to compete with other operating systems, that's why Windows developed the new Windows 8. Chances are that if you brought a new computer recently you have the new version of Windows 8. your computer . The latest version of Microsoft operating systems has been installed on all new Windows computers since late 2012. Since I am also a consumer and a student, I wanted to know more about the new Windows 8 and how it works differently from Windows 7 Like me, I think everyone is also more accustomed and comfortable with Windows 7. I think you can learn Windows 8 with some time, because if I can learn Windows 8, it's not too difficult for anyone. Surprisingly, after watching several Windows 8 videos on You Tube, I can now emb... middle of paper ...... give consumers/users what they want and require, otherwise consumers/users will buy the product from someone else. I believe that once everyone realizes that Windows 8 allows users to have so much access to their own personal applications or programs, then you will see more people using and embracing Windows 8. I think Windows 8 used by individuals will be very successful in future, but in the business world I'm not sure where it's going to go. After writing this article and learning more about Windows 8, I can now say that I really like Windows 8 and I'm looking forward to learning more so I can feel comfortable no matter what device I'm using or have to own. I believe that Windows 8 has a lot to offer everyone as it allows consumers/users to have access to everything with a simple touch screen.
