As stated by Roberson (2013) “In October, UCSF's Pierre Theodore, a cardiothoracic surgeon, became the first doctor to use Glass during surgery. The surgeon pre-loaded the patient's images before surgery and used them as a reference during the surgery.” Google Glass has had an impact on society, revolutionizing the medical industry and making it easier to transmit images. Although Google Glass has made it possible for doctors to use it during their operations, there are still some privacy concerns. It will take time to develop programs that protect against security breaches, but doctors have not connected to the cloud to prevent patient images from being uploaded.
