In the film Hancock, the protagonist Hancock has a very special gift: he has superpowers almost like those of Superman. At the beginning of the film Hancock is shown as a drunk who only decides to do good when he feels like it. Over the course of the film Hancock becomes a positive role model who does nothing but good. During the film there is a scene where a woman's purse is snatched, Hancock watches what happens and his exact words are "what do I care?". Later in the film Hancock fights to save the city he now loves and happily calls home. Hancock goes from not caring at all to caring more than any other citizen. Hancock transforms from a drunk who could help the world but chooses not to, into a hero willing to lose his life fighting to do what's right. As he tries to complete his journey he meets a mentor, makes enemies, faces a test, and even receives the city's approval. All these are elements of his journey. The story begins with a man named Hancock, this man, although simple and ordinary at first glance, possesses incredible strength and the ability to fly. He puts these powers to use for all the right reasons, but uses them in all the wrong ways. This "hero" is an alcoholic, so the audience witnesses his flaw. Hancock is not your typical hero: he lacks honor, intellectuality, honesty, determination and incentive, yet he is still a hero. Hancock is a hero who has made mistakes in the past, but he is still a hero. He is an alcoholic superhero with a bad attitude. He saves many lives, but in the process causes millions of dollars in damage to the city of Los Angeles. He doesn't let anyone stop him from doing what he wants; not even the law. While trying to save people, he... mid-card... is "like Hancock", he doesn't destroy the city while trying to save it, and of course all the criminals roaming the city. Hancock's allies are his mentor Ray, Ray's wife, and the city of Los Angeles. His enemies are mainly the criminals of the population who infest the city. Hancock's road back is when he is in the hospital and Marry tells him about their past. He learns about the two movie tickets and why he lost his memory in Resurrection because he gets beaten when he was vulnerable and leaves to save Mary and Ray escapes through a broken window and flies away. Towards the end, Hancock returns to Los Angeles as a superhero and in gratitude, places Ray's heart logo on the moon and Hancock fixed what he caused while doing what his society needed Hancock to do true hero
