The United States faces countless threats both at home and abroad. The countries that pose the greatest threat to US national security are China, Iran, and Russia. Any of these countries could inflict serious damage on the United States, with catastrophic results. I will compare and contrast 5 intelligence disciplines from these countries to determine which country poses the greatest threat to the national security of the United States. China poses the greatest threat to US national security. The first intelligence discipline I will compare is HUMINT. Humint is defined as intelligence gathered from human sources. All three of these countries have a proven track record of using HUMINT sources to their advantage, including the use of espionage. Having more people in the military will allow them to use more resources, as well as combat power. China is estimated to have 618,588,627 people eligible for military service (firepower). This is extremely much more than the United States which has 120,022,084...). Another vital factor is resources. China has more tanks, artillery towers, multiple launch rocket systems, frigates and coastal defense assets. Even recently there were 5 Chinese hackers accused of espionage, this attests to why China is the biggest threat to US national security. Write a general conclusion and reword the opening paragraph!
