Topic > Outsourcing: Let's Do It Right - 1212

“The rights of every man are diminished when the rights of every man are threatened” (Kennedy, 1963). Continuous improvements in technological capabilities have provided companies with tools to more easily conduct business on a global scale. However, when conducting business with different cultures, you risk different ethical standards. Neither is particularly opposed to outsourcing, yet each provides information that addresses two different outsourcing issues. Kibbe's 2004 article “Outsourcing: The Good, the Bad and the Inevitable” focuses on the employment impact in the United States. Van Heerden's 2010 "Making Global Labor Fair" speech focuses on the impact of human rights.
