Currently, there are thousands of religions in the world. These religions can be identified into two groups: universal and ethnic. Universal religions can be defined as two words: proselytism and acceptance. Ethnic religions are religions that are cliques. However, universal religions are more beneficial to the health of the world; they influence others about their culture and history, are generally more tolerant and welcoming of people's different affiliations, and also encourage the egalitarianism of people around the world. Universal religions are truly beneficial to the health of the world. One of the reasons this is true is due to their ability to spread their history and culture. An educational cultural website, education.com, states that the influence of cultural beliefs on education, the value of education, and participation styles cannot be overstated (Impact). Religion is an important aspect of any country's history. Most of the general population of a city is consistent with participation in one religion. That one religion influences the activities of the country and the lives of the citizens. This implies that the citizens of these cities come together communally, and when people within a community are close to each other, then that city becomes vigorous. How could a city be healthy if everyone kept to themselves and no one knew anyone? Religion unites the community. Furthermore, according to the website huffingtonpost.com, an American online news aggregator, "culture is intangible, but it is essential: you can enter a school and immediately know whether you want to be there or not" (Huffington Post).
