I learned about the many benefits of the QAR strategy, as well as the role of the student and teacher in the strategy. I gained an understanding of the importance of using the QAR technique and reviewed the research conducted on this topic. While not much research has been conducted on the effectiveness of the QAR strategy, whatever studies have been performed demonstrate its effectiveness. This strategy has many strengths. It helps students analyze and interpret concepts in the text, thus improving their comprehension skills. It also helps refute the general misconception of students that the text contains all the answers. Encourage students to be active and strategic readers of the text. The QAR reading strategy is effective with students of all populations. With proper instruction and practice, any student can learn how to use this strategy and benefit from it. After studying this technique, I became more aware of its importance and value. I plan to implement this in my classroom by first modeling the strategy and then inviting students to try it on their own. I believe the QAR strategy should be used in every classroom, regardless of the age or ethnicity of the students. The QAR method can be effective in any subject area and should be implemented by everyone
