Topic > The eight components of the communication process

The message is the meaning presented by the source to the audience. Meaning is put together with grammar and organization. The message is also the way words are presented, the way they are said, the body language used, the tone of voice and one's appearance. Furthermore, the message may be the environment and environment you are present in and the noise that may make your message difficult to hear or see (McLean, 2003). . The channel is the next component. The channel is the way in which one or more messages travel between the source and the recipient. Voice, clothing and body language represent the channel of the message addressed to the public (McLean, 2003). . The receiver is the next of the eight components. The recipient interprets the message from the source in all aspects. A receiver listens, sees, touches, smells, or tastes to receive a message. When the source sends the message and perceives a response, the recipient does the same at the same time. This represents why and how communication is constantly evolving (McLean, 2003).
