Topic > Fear of Death - 1070

Death refers to the end of worldly life. People fear death for a variety of reasons. They are afraid because it is the final moment of separation from their loved ones, it can be a painful process, it makes them feel that there is a countdown to their existence and they may not get everything they hoped for or planned, or they may fear the unknown after death. Death is the final adventure as a person on this earth, it is the closing of the door on this earthly reality. An unnatural obsession and fear of death can lead to an inactive and weakened society, it is important to find a way to overcome these effects to make the inevitable end of life come out well. The fear of death is continuous because death cannot be avoided. Furthermore, what comes after death is invisible. The effects of fear of death can sometimes have a positive force on people's behavior, because they push them to perform good deeds to obtain a good reward in the afterlife. Some people who fear death and do not believe in an afterlife may spend every second of their lives indulging in the beauties of this life, without considering the consequences. They are seen as materialistic and selfish due to the idea that there is no life other than the present, so they must enjoy the present in any way they like. On the other hand, some people consider death as a transitional phase towards the next life. . Therefore, they prepare for an afterlife. This type of belief arises from a religious commitment, or from the fact that some people who suffer from such diseases prefer to die rather than suffer. This issue is important because it affects human behavior. For example, religious people are more likely to perform good deeds for better spiritual preparation to face death. As a result, they spend their lives in the middle of paper...it's important that people become comfortable with death and learn, through social means, that it's not a terrible thing. The way the social world represents death can have a serious impact on how you feel about the end of your life. It is important to find ways to motivate people to do good things in their lives and build their community before separating. It will always be a somewhat sad event for those left behind, but death must be embraced more as a chapter in life, the closing of one door and the opening of another. Only in this light can death be used as a benefit to society rather than as a tool to terrorize people into inaction. Works Cited Becker, Ernest. The denial of death. New York: Free, 1973. Print.
