Topic > Key aspects a team needs to succeed and perform…

A successful team requires several key aspects to function at its best. The team is not effective because it does not integrate effective team procedures into its tasks. To improve their success they need to be organized and create an effective work team. To achieve this you need to use planning and organization, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills, quality teams and team processes. A successful team implements good planning, puts tasks into perspective, which involves setting goals that can be achieved and the ability to prioritize tasks. at hand. Planning allows the team to set achievable goals and thus complete the tasks at hand on time. The team is not performing at its best due to a lack of planning and organization on their part, this has therefore led to problems within the team. The team has not planned time effectively which is evident as the team is not completing the work on time. This can lead to team members becoming stressed and taking work home with them. The team is advised to first prioritize the tasks that need to be completed first, then set small, manageable goals to achieve. (Rasmussen, Mylonas, & Beck, 2009) This way they will be able to meet deadlines and therefore give them a sense of accomplishment and increase the productivity of everyone involved. (Rasmussen, Mylonas, & Beck, 2012) These manageable goals will also allow each of the team members to see what needs to be done to complete before the next meeting, instead of doing a small amount of work on each task. The team does not also need to implement a plan, but to have a successful team it must exercise good interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. An effective team member has the ability to communicate…half of paper…complete goals on time. In conclusion, the team is not working effectively and as a result has not been able to complete the work efficiently to get it done on time. This can be corrected by bringing the above suggestions to the team organization and planning, the team processes, the communication skills they possess and finally creating a quality team. By implementing the recommendation they will produce a policy that will be completed on time but also to a high standard of quality. References Rasmussen, R., Mylonas, A., & Beck, H. (2009).
