Domestic problems such as lack of food, shelter, or a safe place to live make going to school even more difficult. Programs like free lunch and after-school care give these students much-needed help. Students with these types of social or economic problems will need more attention and guidance than other students. School counselors and extracurricular activities are essential to the success of these particular students.
