Integrity is a huge value in healthcare, ranging from presenting accurate information to the patient, recording information correctly, not overburdening patients, and impartially conducting research medical. These are just a few of the ways that integrity is critical in the healthcare industry. Without integrity there would be no accountability for errors and patients could benefit from healthcare systems. A system like this would do more harm than good and for these reasons integrity is a requirement for healthcare professionals. Responsibility is also an important issue in healthcare because a patient trusts you with their life and as such you must do what you can for them. Sometimes things don't go as planned and you have to take responsibility for your actions. This protects patients and ensures that healthcare providers take the best course of action for their patients. Not being held accountable could lead to corrupt and sloppy healthcare treatments. Finally, ethical behavior is critical in healthcare because healthcare providers may ignore the patient's best interest and instead do what is easiest or most economical. This ultimately defeats the purpose of healthcare. Without a highly regulated healthcare system, patients would ultimately suffer
