In today's world, it is abnormal for a person above the age of 12 not to have a cell phone glued to him or her at all times. According to a Huffington Post article, 99.8 million college students have cell phones. According to the National Center for Education Stistics, approximately 21.8 million students attended college this year, for a total of only 43,600 students without cell phones in the entire United States. Most colleges and universities allow teachers to make their own policy on cell phone use in the classroom because there is no set policy in place. The use of cell phones in the classroom is becoming more widespread every day. Cell phone use in class is not only harmful to the students who use it, but also to other students and teachers in the classroom. Cell phones have been around for a while, but only in the last five years have they become a problem for teachers. and students in class.
