They may feel alone or rejected by family and/or friends, so they enjoy inflicting pain on others to feel empowered. Then there are young people addicted to violent programs and games who may themselves be victims of bullying, may gain a false sense of confidence and power, and use violence they see as a way to get revenge against those who have harmed them. As we can see, therefore, the problem of bullying cannot be ignored, especially since it represents 77% of school violence (Neuman). The fact is that school violence will persist as long as bullies continue to inflict violence on others, which in turn will push those who are bullied to respond with their own violence. This is a vicious cycle that must be broken so that adults feel confident in sending children to school, where they should be allowed to receive the best education possible and live without fear of what the day throws at them..
