Hear the tales beyond imagination; Often told to younger generations, the story of the Tooth Fairy or Santa Claus always seems to end at the right age. However, unidentified flying objects are always left to the individual uncertain throughout their life without a definitive and proven answer. Why are UFOs so often ignored by government officials? Why do people who spot UFOs get laughed out of a room? Of course, the people the world desperately depends on to protect us are keeping a secret that they believe will lead to chaos. Many stories of sightings, cover-ups, and amazing new scientific discoveries learned every day should prove that UFOs are no laughing matter. All the possibilities that the universe holds are a mystery to everyone, however, the government should make UFOs one less mystery to solve. At the beginning of the first documented civilizations, UFOs were depicted in inscriptions and cave walls with witness statements of what they encountered. The first airplane wasn't invented until 1903, yet there were UFO sightings many years before air travel was even thought of. The first recorded clues to "ancient astronauts" came from Sumerian legends in which the USO (unidentified underwater object) visitor "Ea" emerged from the Persian Gulf, "half man, half fish" wearing what would today be known as a wetsuit. “Ea” claimed to come from the twelfth planet of the Milky Way, which has not yet been found by modern astronomy. Now, this statement would be considered pure myth, if it did not coincide with a boon of writing, cultivation, and useful tools (Mizrach 2). The historical documented evidence of UFOs at an early age makes the quest to prove their existence impressive… middle of the paper… they are left for earthlings to decide. If the government revealed the mystery, I'm sure they would be forced to answer much more. The honest answer about the reality of UFOs from world leaders would certainly open their eyes and minds to greater possibilities of what this elaborate universe is capable of.
