Integrity:-“Integrity is defined as adherence to moral values” There are several meanings applied to integrity, the most common meaning refers to integrity as consistency (Brown 2005:5) In public, integrity plays a very important role as people with integrity firmly hold their opinions, which helps them to act correctly in academic, personal and professional circumstances. In the academic community, students of integrity will harshly observe academic standards, exchange ideas freely, and enhance social recognition of the value of their institutions. In personal conditions, integrity leads individuals to understand who they really are, so that they can be honest about their own advantages and ideal life. In the workplace, truth strengthens personal commitment to the profession's established code of ethics. Furthermore, integrity initiates mutually beneficial personal relationships in a community, helps people develop a sense of trustworthiness and responsibility, and promotes their professional skills. In a word, the more people have integrity in a community, the more efficiency and effectiveness we can have, and the more happiness and confidence we can enjoy. The original meaning of the discussion is about unity and completeness. On the other hand we can say that fidelity to moral principles essentially means maintaining unity in one's beliefs and actions, regardless of any encouragement or temptation to deviate from them. Another way of looking at the issue is to consider integrity as a matter of 'keeping what you say', that is, being consistent in your words and actions (Brown 2005)2. Describe at least two courses of action you could take and state the pros and cons of each path.
