Topic > The concept of existence after death - 772

Death is a controversial topic that most people in society tend to avoid. It is often difficult to talk about death in relation to people. People often tend to have intuition and control over everything in this world. Death is something that people have no control over or do not fully understand. Death often brings sadness to friends and loved ones who will never see that person again. Death is in a sense unclear to individuals, in the sense that there is no scientific evidence to understand what happens when a person dies. There are different beliefs about what happens when a person dies, depending on different cultures. Some believe that death is the cessation of existence. Others believe that death means leaving a world and having a portal to another life. In a sense, comparing them to beliefs, death is either real or not real. Philosophically death would be examined through human reasoning. Personally, I believe that when you physically die your spiritual man goes to Heaven or Hell, depending on your faith in Jesus. My position is based on the Christian position on how you will spend eternity in one place or another. Even though there is no evidence of what happens when you die, when you die you go to heaven or hell because the Bible and the Christian faith firmly believe in this doctrine. An individual also has an eternal spirit. The main reason I believe in life after death is based on the Christian faith. Jesus was speaking to Martha and declared, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even after death." This scripture refers to life after death. People who have died physically in Christ will live in heaven until the day of the Lord. People who are not in Christ when... middle of paper... in the supernatural realm when our physical body dies. I believe what the Bible says about life after death, that it exists. I believe this through scripture and teachings through church and family members. People who are not Christians can look at philosophical teachings that do not completely deny the fact that the spiritual realm exists and that people continue to live after death. Philosophically life after death is difficult to prove as this belief is strictly based on faith and not rational or empirical knowledge. We can choose how to live our lives thanks to our free will. We are responsible for our actions throughout our lives because we base them on the satisfaction of desires. The Bible says, “Do not be deceived: you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always reap what you sow.” This is a fundamental characteristic of life, everything we do has a result.
