Trend Analysis Fego Caffe's to stay ahead of the trend and stay updated, has chosen to partner with leaders in the South African retail environment such as Exclusive Books and Incredible Connection. The company will need to identify an area where the business is not performing well and then find ways to leverage that opportunity to benefit their company. If Fego cafe can keep up with customer loyalty because unlike other cafes they also serve full meals and have a wider range of products. In this case this prevents current competitors from stealing their customers. New Entry Threats New entry threats means when a new competitor enters from any industry, channel or marketing activity. The opportunity that Fego can identify to try to prevent threats from new entries is that the company spends large sums of money on advertising and runs promotions where products are sold at a lower price, this could make entry difficult in the market for other companies. Availability of substitute products Availability is a substitute product that does not refer to a different brand. An example of substitute products could be sugar versus artificial sweeteners, it is the same product that satisfies the same need. The company will have to ensure that its prices could be cheaper and, above all, it will have to increase the availability of substitute products generated. This will help defeat competitors. The power of suppliers The company must be aware of problems such as its supplier not supplying to other companies at a lower price because this may increase competition.
