Every person is a unique individual; from appearance and personality to the DNA itself, humans are naturally different from each other, yet there are many people who believe that one uniform solution of school uniforms will work for everyone. The implementation of school uniforms is said to bring positive changes such as decreased gang activity, bullying, and costs to parents; however, the truth is that school uniforms are no more beneficial than free dress in schools. The claim by school uniform advocates that the introduction of school uniforms will significantly reduce criminal behavior and bullying among students is only partly true. Schools that have seen declines in criminal behavior or bullying often overlook the effects of other environmental factors in their reports on the effectiveness of school uniforms.
