Sigmund Freud had a considerably huge impact on the arts and humanities. Freud developed a theory that humans have an unconscious mind in which they develop sexual and aggressive desires. He also studied the thinking process of individuals, for example, he specifically studied the process used within an individual, such as the conscious and unconscious mind. Conscious minds were the level at which all our mental processes would function. Unconscious minds were the outgrowths of desires, impulses, instincts, and memories. Most of his work was concerned with how dreams define our unconscious thoughts; this allowed Freud to understand how the thought process of human beings developed. Freud emphasized how dreams are a safe place for individuals to think about their desires that they cannot realize in everyday life, he quoted: “The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to knowledge of the unconscious activities of the mind. " Freud was the most inspirational person of his time, his studies on the human mind fascinated many people, and therefore people wanted to know more about his work and confide in Freud whenever they had something strange in their mind.
