Why or why not? I do not believe that all of the nonverbal communication signals listed are appropriate for electronic communication. Nonverbal communication includes the impressions that the individual observes. These signals can be misinterpreted depending on how the person receiving the message feels at the time. This can lead to a misunderstanding that could have been avoided altogether. Since the goal of all communication is to share meaningful messages, how can we be sure that the intended messages arrive in electronic contexts like our classroom?
