Shakespeare had probably the most baffling language in all of literacy. His English creativity and ingenuity have allowed him to be considered the greatest writer in the English language. Unfortunately, Pete Langman believes that Shakespeare is too difficult for most schoolchildren. He feels that making them fight just because Shakespeare is this great, shining cultural icon simply alienates them, makes them hate the man, hate the plays, giving them a sneaking suspicion that high culture excludes them. Langman believes that everyone could do better if they accepted the fact that Shakespeare is hard and accepted the fact that it is too difficult for some people and should be taught until college level. While Langeman had some good points, I have to respectfully disagree. Shakespeare may have his flaws and may be a little mature for early learners, but the fact of the matter is that William Shakespeare offers so many insights into the real world that young people need to learn early to better understand the real world that awaits them and actually...
