I never thought anything about my type of intelligence until we started discussing in class two psychologists' theories about different types of intelligence. According to Sternberg's triarchic theory of intelligence, I believe that my profile would fall more into analytical intelligence and slightly into practical intelligence. Sternberg's analysis of analytically intelligent people says, "They are often considered 'smart' students who get good grades, appear in high-level tracks, do well on traditional intelligence tests and the SAT, and are later admitted into competitive colleges.” (Santrock, 2013, p. 300). This statement makes me believe that this fits my profile more than the other information he listed because I was accepted to Our Lady of the Lake college and did well on my ACT test.
