Do we ever think about how many children suffer from obesity? Many people don't realize that childhood obesity is slowly becoming a serious problem here in the United States. Our government should take childhood obesity very seriously to solve this problem. The government along with other citizens should be concerned about childhood obesity because everyone here is a human being. Not every child may be affected by this problem, but there will always be a child who suffers from obesity. The government must also worry because many of these children could be the future of our country. If they deprive those children of any kind of help, the country will also lose the next engineers, doctors or police officers. There are different causes of obesity and there are also many solutions to be found to resolve childhood obesity. Overall, childhood obesity needs to be taken seriously as there are many parents who desperately need help for their children. Childhood obesity was recognized in 1909 by insurance companies after evaluating their statistics. “Obesity is defined as an abnormal increase in fat in the connective tissue under the skin (Kelly 5). This definition is debated among doctors, and the most common way people determine whether another person is obese is simply by looking at them. However, Kelly says some professionals are not accurate in determining whether a person suffers from obesity. According to the Mayo Clinic, childhood obesity occurs when a child is overweight for his or her height and age. The causes of childhood obesity are multiple, which is why it is difficult to highlight a specific factor. Mrs. Obama has some very interesting facts that people should read... middle of paper... and feel like an outsider because they don't feel comfortable talking to others. One thing is certain: falling into obesity is easier than trying to get out of it. Obesity is one of the most dangerous health problems not only in the United States, but throughout the world. In my opinion our government should pay serious attention to how it intends to find solutions to this dilemma. The future of these children depends on the help we provide them. If they are not taken care of, how can we expect to save other people with other types of problems? It's easy for others to think that obesity can be solved from one to another. However, they do not realize that to solve this problem they will have to work on it little by little. In conclusion, obesity can be deadly, so we must be aware of the consequences that obesity has so that our children can live a healthy and normal life.
