The sociotechnical approach works well in the internal environment because it focuses on workers and their tools, training and knowledge. The quantitative approach works well in all three environments. Because it extracts and analyzes all types of data, it can be used as a tool to develop and improve all three environments. The organizational approach focuses on the behaviors of the organization's employees, so it fits best with the internal environment. Systems theory views an organization as an open system involving all three environments. It can be used effectively to consider internal, external and macro environments because they all influence the organization. All approaches have their place in a system, and an organization would be better suited to always consider each in its analysis
