Many people don't understand that regional planning is important for land development, but most of them don't care. Land development is very important for a community because without it there would be nothing or just a useless place with nothing. (According to Dr. David Prytherch on November 13, 2013). At the University of Miami they teach planners techniques on being a regional planner. When individuals are at University, everyone must dedicate themselves to the program. Additionally, people must be willing to learn about the work and take it seriously. Another thing is that when they are regional planners many planners believe in commitment to their qualified professionals. With this commitment they could one day become superiors themselves. When learning the field of land development at college, students take classes that demonstrate skill and thinking. Individuals must apply problem-solving planning concepts in regional planning. They also must demonstrate regional planning projects and complete independent research and make group presentations. This experience helps prepare students for the field and offers great job opportunities. (According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 2011).
