The pyramids in Africa, the huts in South America, to the villas in North America, all these structures have one thing in common. They all need someone to make them, and that person is a construction worker. A construction worker is a person everyone relies on; they play a small part in everyone's life. Many children find interest at a young age after building their first tower with blocks, and then that tower 20 years later turns into one of the largest towers in the world. Construction is an opportunity for people to put their skills to use; it's best suited to people who understand all aspects of the "big picture" as well as all the little details in everything from tiny houses to the Eiffel Tower. For starters, a construction worker works countless hours and sometimes even nights to finish projects. Most work 8 hours a day, but this can translate into a longer time to complete the project ("Construction Worker"). Some days their work stops because the weather stops or slows down their work. They work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year. Construction workers are responsible for building bridges, new houses, highways, and various shops. Additionally, "a construction worker also does small things like controlling traffic passing by, in, or around work zones and cleaning or preparing construction sites to eliminate possible hazards ("Construction Worker: What They Do"). All of these tasks that they perform, they must be able to withstand mother nature through cold, heat and rain. During a normal day, a construction worker works with families, companies, colleagues and many people looking for help in building projects are some physical demands that these workers must be capable of to satisfy...... half of the paper ...... Industrial machinery mechanical workers, maintain and repair factory equipment and other industrial machinery or a Millwright, install, dismantle, repair, reassemble and move machinery in factories, power plants and construction sites. (“bls.gov”.) There are many other jobs to fall back on if all the construction jobs are filled and each has its advantages and disadvantages. The more experience a construction worker has, the more job opportunities there are to choose from. Generally speaking, people who understand all aspects of the "big picture" as well as all the little details of everything, find pleasure in being a construction worker. Construction workers help others, from building a new home for a family to creating the largest business ever. They give people someone to lean on and look to when they need help with projects.
