Topic > Explanation of the collapse of the Chinese Empire in 1911

China was once a strong and stable empire, many past emperors ruled China, most of them ruled for a long time and some of them for less time some famous rulers like Nurhaci (1559-1626) but it began its decline in 1500 and continued until modern times, the last empire was the Qing Empire which collapsed in 1911. The main reason for the collapse of the empire was the refusal to trade with other countries, a revolt against foreign control and the effect of a change from the monarchy to a democracy. The Qing Empire (1644-1912) was the last great dynastic empire to rule China. He was an effective and long-serving ruler in the early Chinese dynastic era; it was a time of successes and ultimately natural disasters, rebellions, invasions and inept courts. In 1911 the Qing dynasty was controlled by the Manchu minority. So it is also known that the Manchu Dynasty was the last dynasty in Chinese history. The Manchus decided on a form of government never used before: democracy. Unfortunately, democracy was corrupted, popular votes were easily bought, which led to civil war, the Xinhai Revolution and the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty. This revolution ended with the founding of the Republic of China. The Qing Dynasty gave rise to the Manchus who lived north of the Great Wall. The Manchus emerged as a people when a tribal ruler named Nurhaci began conquering other tribes. In 1625 Nurchaci conquered the Ming city of Shenyang and made it his capital, gave his empire a larger population base, and used their skills. Nurhaci has a song called Hang Taiji. He then continues to attack Ming officials and increase his empire. His empire was initially called Jin, but later, in 1936, he renamed it the “Great Qing Empire”. Dorgon structured education and knowledge of the world as an isolationist alternative because he feared that if they provided education people would understand the outside world. Empress Cixi also attempted to establish a modern school system, but failed. Some people also led the fall of Qing dynasty like Sun Yat-Sen in 1908, when the emperor and Cixi died, the new emperor was only two years old because Sun Yat-Sen was already so famous all over the world, so his revolution final erupted in 1911 and overthrew the Qing Empire, ending two thousand years of Chinese feudal monarchy with the Chinese Republic. The Qing Dynasty was something that was different from other subsequent Chinese or alien powers that preceded it. It seems that the main reason for the decline of the Chinese empire was natural disasters, rebellions, invasions and wars.
