The role played by nature may not be as great as that played by nurture, but it is still an integral part of cheerleading. The most fundamental skill in cheerleading that would be considered an achievement of nature would be flexibility. I have been moderately flexible since I was little, which has helped me tremendously in cheerleading. Some people may argue that flexibility is a learned skill and not a gene, but I disagree. I believe something like stretching can help improve flexibility, but there are many people who are born naturally flexible and it's in their genes. Being a cheerleader could also be a form of genetics. For example, my mother and aunt both cheered in middle and high school. It's not necessarily a gene, but I think this was passed down to me, which made me want to cheer even throughout middle and high school. Nature is not an important part of cheerleading, but in some its role is still present
