Topic > The Floriculture Industry in Floriculture - 1126

Agriculture experts and economists have predicted that both per capita consumption and production of the floriculture industry are likely to increase internationally. There is a dead end, an air of ambiguity and doubt among experts in arriving at a definitive vision of the forecasts for the floriculture sector. In almost every country in the world there is some sort of flower industry, some large-scale, some small-scale. However, in many third world countries the available statistics are not adequate or accurate or both. India is a country where agriculture is the mainstay of our economy. The size of agricultural land has been steadily decreasing generation after generation. In such a situation, it can be safely said that India is a nation of medium and small agricultural families, where floriculture can potentially be one of the best options to increase the income of the less privileged farmers. The systematic introduction of flower crops could represent a significant intervention in this situation in which a poor farmer can earn much more than he earns by making the most of the limited natural resources available.
