Topic > The Problem of Juvenile Delinquency - 1456

Childhood should be a time of fun early education and the beginning of what children will eventually lead to. However, today we are starting to see more and more young high school students in the news for petty thefts, gang fights, and even murders. Just last year two girls killed a girl who thought they were her friends. They appeared in national news as they claimed to appeal to Slender Man, a fictional character in a game called Slender designed to scare its players. Even though these kids were considered mentally insane, the underlying problem remains: they are now delinquents. Nowadays criminals appear more and more. This increase in delinquents is causing many of these kids to turn into criminals with criminal records or causing them to enter a life of drug use. Whatever path they decide to take, it will ensure that they never get a decent job or get into many universities that could lead them to a successful career. Before they graduate, another issue may arise: their parents' ability to fully support them. All this can happen, which causes society to fall from what it should be. This is one of society's biggest problems: crime. These problems can be resolved, but will require a lot of intervention, rehabilitation, and commitment. However, with the help of parents and other community members, this is a problem that can be solved. Children are turning into delinquents because their friends are delinquents, or their own curiosity leads them to delinquency. One of the easiest ways for the child to turn into a delinquent is through the use of narcotics and other various forms of drugs. Their friends can smoke something like marijuana or hang out with some paper... in prison, the system is almost efficient. However, in all systems there is a factor that cannot be explained or predicted. This factor is the human nature and personality of the individual. They system and those who work for it could work to the best of their ability, but if the individual who is placed in the system because of the crime. The men and women who work to help the delinquents in society fight to heal society before it turns to the next generation. They work tirelessly to correct the youth, but it is still up to the individual to help themselves at the same time. If the problem of crime is not solved, society will bring into prison a mass of criminals who usually cannot be helped. With the system we have, it is possible to change that possible destiny, but only if we are able to show from the beginning why it is wrong..
