Leonardo Da Vinci was defined by the Italians as "the man with the four squares" (Cunningham & Reich p 390.). He created many memorable Renaissance paintings that are still famous today. One of his masterpieces is The Last Supper (1495), which is a fresco. He used one-point linear perspective and atmospheric perspective to portray the dining room of a monastery in Milan. The vanishing point is at the head of Jesus, sitting in the center of the painting. Behind him is a triple window representing the Holy Trinity. Looking at the painting, we can see the story behind it. There are three groups of people divided, who distance themselves from Jesus. However, within a group of people, on a large dining table, we can feel his loneliness. It also seems like the people around him might be betraying him. The Last Supper is one of Leonardo Da Vinci's greatest works. All his works seem to focus on the human being that is real life such as "Madonna of the Rocks", "Mona Lisa" and the natural world, "The Notebook".
