College Essay Education has always been important to me, especially since only a few members of my family graduated from college. Growing up I faced several obstacles and many people, even some members of my family, believed that I couldn't overcome them, but I did it. These difficulties only gave me the push to achieve my goal: acquiring a degree. My father's struggle was my greatest inspiration. My father had a very difficult childhood and received only part of his high school education. He basically had other obligations that were unfairly imposed on him. My grandfather, who was the father of seven children, only two of whom were boys, had an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. That same year, my father illegally immigrated to the United States in search of a better future for him and his family. All the income he earned was sent back to Mexico to help his family in the poor area where they lived. He sacrificed his life and education for the well-being of his family.
