A study supported by the Genetically Modified Organisms Breeding Major Projects of PR China Grant 2011ZX08011-005 and 2012ZX08011003, consisted of a 90-day observation of 84 rats and compared the differences in their GI health due to their differences in diet; the control groups consumed non-genetically modified rice while the other five groups consumed various concentrations of genetically modified rice. (Yuan et al.) Yanfang Yuan and his colleagues conducted this study at China Agricultural University in the College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering. Therefore, the consumption of genetically modified foods has no abnormal effects on general well-being. (Yuan et al.
