Topic > Santa's Snacks at Amusement Parks - 1021

As I said before, our little stand is located in the exciting Holiday World and Splashin' Safari amusement park. As an employee of the food department, like everyone else, I consider the water parka and the dry park as two separate worlds. Both parks have food stands with similar work but which look different environmentally. The main reason for this is that Holiday World has several holiday themed sections while the water park only has a main theme of a safari. Luckily for me, three years ago when I applied for the job, I was placed in one of the easiest booths in my opinion. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that a stand called Santa's Snacks would be in the Christmas section of Holiday World. Of all the sections of Dry Park, this section seemed the most unique because aspects of the booth location were completely positive or negative. The reason for this is that the booth location is at the top of the hill while the HR building is on the other side of the dry park at the bottom. Even though it was a long trip to the booth every day and night, it had an advantage that was also a disadvantage. Santa's Snacks was located just a few feet from the park entrance, so guests didn't spend most of their day hanging around there. This, however, backfires at night when they leave and have a last minute snack on the way home. All the negative characteristics of the place aside, I began to cultivate it as the first year of work passed. I was sixteen when I decided to get a job in the food department at Holiday World. It was better for me to get a job so I wouldn't have to sit at home all summer. ...... half of the sheet ...... l. In addition to this, both Tim and Josh said that positive reports at the booth are extremely high. Luckily, after every negative event that happens in the booth, everything always ends up going well. I can't remember an event that went wrong and stayed for a long period of time. Whether someone has a small argument or gets angry with another member, the negative energy of that event almost disappears into thin air with time. When the season ended this year, I never realized how close our crew was to a real family. We have wonderful days and other disappointing days, but in the end everything is fine. As the season winds down, working my hardest in that little booth at the entrance to the park makes me feel like I've almost lost a part of my family. Sadly, there is a decent change that I will never see some of them face to face again.
