High expectations produce high results. Likewise, low expectations produce poor results. How I will implement this principle: From the beginning of the school year, I will establish and communicate academic and classroom expectations to students and their families. Students will have an interest in classroom management as they will work with me to establish ground rules of behavior and work habits for themselves. The behavior agreement will change each year, to reflect the unique makeup of each class. A well-managed classroom is essential to an environment of academic integrity. Students will understand that they are part of a team. I will actively involve students in all instructional tasks in the ways described in the principles above.
