Cloning is a very controversial topic, although most people don't know enough about it to make an informed decision. First I will define cloning and explain the cloning process to you. Next, I will cover animal cloning and its negative effects. Finally, I will explain the different religious view on cloning and what my personal opinion on cloning is. Although people think that cloning is just copying, cloning is actually more complex than simple copying, but in my personal opinion I am against cloning. The definition of cloning on google.com is "to propagate (an organism or cell) as a clone" which is right. Making a clone generally does not mean reproducing another exact replica. The only thing that can be the same between the clone and the original is the DNA obtained from the original. The clone may look different and act differently. For example, when two cats were cloned, the clone of the original was different from the other. Different temperaments, different appearance, etc. But the only thing the same about them was that their DNA was the same. The cloning process initially occurs when the nucleus of the donor egg is then removed from the empty egg, the source DNA of the clone is injected into the donor egg. The egg then divides rapidly, repeating this process over and over until a multicellular cluster is formed. Subsequent cells start to become a group and eventually form a specific organ such as heart, liver and kidney. Stem cells are harvested from embryos of 100 or more cells and eventually the embryos continue to grow in size and complexity resulting in identical replication in the genes of the original. Secondly, cloning has good effects and results also has bad effects and the results and negatives outweigh the positives in... middle of paper... some test subjects. Cloning is not good for animals because they do not have their own opinion nor can they express it. There is also a very low success rate, only 5% out of 100 successfully cloned. There is also a loss of state funds and money. Cloning can be useful in some cases, but in this case I don't agree with cloning animals. There are so many flaws in cloning that can occur and can be passed through to us by consuming a cloned animal. I wouldn't want my food to have any disease or illness. All in all people think that cloning is not just a copy of something, but in reality there is much more to it than just creating a duplicate. The cloning process is a very long process: it goes from the nucleus, to the embryo, to then grow and then be born. Cloning is so complex and so new to scientists. There is much more to learn about cloning.
