There are things to consider with all teenage mothers, such as increased poverty or health problems for them or their children. There are greater health problems for both the child and the mother when younger girls have children. Many times babies are born prematurely and have to fight to survive. Teenage mothers are also more oblivious to their actions, and there are greater risks of careless acts by pregnant teens, such as drinking and smoking during or after pregnancy. Even with the public watching, if the teenager decided to have an abortion, she would sometimes have to deal with protesters at abortion clinics who are against these actions. Other public problems are that more and more uneducated teen mothers are becoming as many drop out of high school. Without a good education, it becomes difficult to get a stable job or career. Because of this, these nearly 400,000 American girls between the ages of 15 and 19 rely on the government to help them with money and aid and this becomes more of a problem overall for the United States as
