Becoming a United States Army Military Recruiter Introduction The land of the free and the home of the brave. However, freedom is not free. Men and women dedicated to serving their country help maintain the beliefs of our ancestors. The military is a very special part of America. While each branch plays a very significant role, my specific interest is in the Army. I chose this area because I believe the army plays an important role in the posh neighborhood called America. I have already joined the Army and am leaving for base on June 14th. However, I didn't get the job I wanted. I wanted to be an Army recruiter. This is why I chose this as my topic. The United States Military Recruiter occupation is a respected occupation throughout the United States Army because of the sheer impact it has on the future of the proud green and gold decorated United States military branch enshrined as the Army. Their level of focus and patience is to be admired due to the amount of training they must endure to accumulate the skills needed to become efficient and effective in their jobs. Historical Context The history of the Army recruiter profession is as deep as the Army itself. The U.S. Army has had recruiters since colonial times in the 1700s. Even before the era of willing patriotic citizens, recruiting volunteers was an important component of filling military positions. In the past many people were not as enthusiastic about agglutinating the military as they are today, so they involuntarily conscripted or recruited citizens into the US Army. This was deemed unconstitutional in the land of the free, so they began a heavy campaign for the... middle of paper... completeness required for the project. Patience is currently a big issue for me because when I was very young I was diagnosed with ADHD. I took Ritalin but my mother expressed concern about the side effects and the use of the medicine was discontinued by me. Even though I will have to work hard, I am willing too because I keep in mind that being a recruiter for the US Army is the career I want to achieve someday. Career prospects in topicWhen dealing with career prospects I can aspire to become a "Talent Acquisition Manager". in today's economy Talent acquisition is a high-pressure critical and strategic result area of any organization. If not done correctly, it can jeopardize business plans and its implementation. I could work for major companies after the training, experience and skills I received United States Army.SECTION TWO – LITERATURE REVIEWHistory of the US Army
