If it's about simple things like arresting people, and if it's about horrible things like shooting and beating people. Many say officers are simply doing their jobs and protecting people, but it is never okay to hurt innocent people. Many have been seriously injured or, even worse, died due to the extreme force used by some police officers in certain situations. Whether people want to admit it or not, police officers should not use such force. I understand that if someone approaches them, or hurts someone else and they can't do anything but shoot, but if an innocent, unarmed citizen walks the streets of their neighborhood they should feel safe. No one, no matter who they are, should ever feel threatened or scared about leaving their home because of a police officer. It is unfair that many police officers get away with abuse and murder while victims and their families have to pay the consequences. I don't understand how a male or female, no matter whether they are people of the law or not, can agree to get away with killing an innocent human being. It's disgusting just thinking about it. The police should protect citizens, not harm them. How can people trust the police when they are the ones hurting everyone. And it's not just all police officers and I feel sorry for those who are ridiculed because of it
