Adolescent Violence“And so, until the end of the story, murder will beget murder, always in the name of right, honor and peace, until the gods are tired of blood and create a race that can understand." ~George Bernard Shaw, from "Caesar and Cleopatra" Be honest, as teenagers we all get angry sometimes, but to what extent? You are acting like an immature child who Didn't he get what he wanted? Do you bottle it up so no one knows? Or do you lash out and hurt those around you every day? Teenage violence is not a disease we are not born with and it can certainly be prevented; however, this could only happen if we first change the way we act today violence among teenagers has always been a problem Of five hundred years until the time of Romeo and Juliet. In that story the Capulets and the Montagues have a long history of mutual hatred. When Romeo, a Montague, and Juliet, a Capulet, try to become lovers, it causes a negative reaction. Romeo goes to a party at the Capulets' house, uninvited, and this sends the Capulets into a rage. The teenagers of the family act with their own hands and try to fight. Violence breaks out and eventually people are killed. Things like this still happen today. A small thing that doesn't really cause any harm to anyone might just make one person angry enough to want to hurt another. Family background can also play an important role in why people become violent. A child is not only violent at first; Many factors contribute to the formation of a violent teenager. Where you grow up and who you live with plays an important role. If you live in the hardest part of yourself... middle of paper... take responsibility. Most teenagers who commit crimes feel like the whole world is against them and they have to fight back. This violence can be prevented. Talk to you children more, teach them to respect people and make them feel wanted. Be kinder in general. Sometimes people just want to talk and get their problems off their chest, so stop and listen every once in a while. Reflecting on how we act today could prevent something worse in the future. You never know, the next time you stop to talk to a troubled kid you might save another's life. Works cited "Teen Violence". At risk. January 31, 2014. Web. April 16, 2014. Rosenberg Jennifer.
