It becomes a rare moment when a woman takes on a leadership role. Society becomes “teen boys,” immaturely attempting to make sense of a female figure in power. Society has been made to believe that a woman simply works towards a role of power but never truly achieves it. Women remain in a state of “bitch” or “stupid” or “sexy,” regardless of their credentials. How then can we change these immature reactions to female power? We need to have more female leaders. It shouldn't be a rare and unusual thing. The more female leaders are exposed to the United States, the more common and customary it will become. Gender roles are an excuse for inequality. They were established through patriarchal definitions, in order to oppress and hinder. Culturally, the United States must understand that men are NOT the only human specimens with ability and intelligence. They need to stop feeling threatened by females. Their constructed masculinity has essentially prevented them from accepting the need for female leadership within our communities. Women are not here for a man's viewing pleasure. No one ever talks about the old white guy's wrinkles or crooked teeth on Fox News. Women must stop believing
