For some these outings will be safe and fun, however the crime rate tends to increase in the hours that follow. This will make students more susceptible to rape, sexual harassment, and many other traumatizing events. In the following hours the most common events would be parties. Now many students who attend the party track their time so they can wake up and go to school the next day. With this new schedule they will be able to enjoy the extravagance of partying in the hours afterward and still get to school so that their parents are not suspicious or angry. Since most schools contact parents if the student doesn't show up, students will be able to stay later at parties and still won't have to ask the school to contact parents since they will be able to attend classes. It has been shown that as people get tired, their sense of judgment decreases. This means that students will be more likely to do things that can harm them physically, emotionally or mentally at night. This could be things like underage drinking or attempted drug abuse. This will not only put them at risk of contracting the many diseases associated with these items, but will also risk receiving a criminal record.
