Before I graduated, most of my classes sometimes involved group work, but mostly everyone in the class didn't pay any attention. They were on the phone and ignored everything. Once, when I was paired with people who wouldn't do anything, I asked them what the answer was to a certain problem, they just stared at me, looking inexperienced. One of them asked me, "What was that? I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." I was so angry when this happened, because I felt like I was talking to myself. Weeks later, I was doing it too. One day in high school, in government class while we were taking notes, I started playing with my phone halfway through class, but when I did, I lost half of my notes that day. Then, when the test came, I failed it; I ended up getting a 50. After experiencing this, I promised myself that I would never use my phone in class for any reason unless it was a problem.
