In today's entertainment industry, films aim to become award-winning films and, therefore, the highest-grossing films. There are many aspects in which films and creative creations can shine, from computer graphics to music, from plot to acting. One of the biggest differences I see between today's films and those of the past is the main aspect they want to master. Films like Life is Beautiful by Roberto Benigni fascinate viewers like me with its plot, on the contrary, films like Avatar intrigue the audience. viewers thanks to its advanced computer graphics. However, I believe that a good film is based on a great plot, a plot that amazes the viewers. In Life is Beautiful, the plot is strengthened by great characters who exemplify Benigni's intentions. A comic tragedy that explores the idea of the protective power of love and humor - Life is Beautiful - demonstrates its plot and theme through characterization. Round characters like Guido and Joshua. The main protagonist is Eliseo who tries to protect his family through love and humor. Even in difficult times like the Holocaust, Guido maintains his happiness. There are also characters like Eliseo who is a flat character because we always see the elderly as people with experience. In this particular case, Elisha is the only one who sees the Holocaust and its danger. Furthermore, Eliseo is a flat character because he maintains his kindness until the end even with the Nazis. Other character types include stock characters such as Dr. Lessing, a person with power who does not recognize the sins the Nazis are committing. Dr. Lessing doesn't use his power, even to help his friend. The characterizations reflect both the place and time to which the film refers but also other aspects of reality therefore... middle of paper.... ..a comic tone of romance in Rome to the traumatic tone of the concentration camp. Tones are created through both images and audio. The slow, low music creates the tone and atmosphere of suspense, danger and horror while when Guido jokes there is always this fun, repetitive rhythm. Likewise, tone is also created by lighting and color. The concentration camps and trucks are seen as a darker place while Rome is a bright and enthusiastic neighborhood. All this foreshadows the horror of the camp and Guido's unfortunate death. A film that is the emblem of how fantasy can become reality. A film that reflects my vision of how film is used: I believe that film can turn imagination into reality. This is the film that stretches the limits of heroism. Heroism is now the ability to maintain happiness even in difficult times. The film that inspired my dreams.
