I agree with how Rogers points out the serious problem, however, I would like him to recommend ways to help and remedy the problem we have with waste so that this can be solved in a matter of time. Even something as simple as using an old butter container and filling it with menudo can make a small difference in preventing more waste from ending up in landfills and trash from expanding by doing just that little thing as an example of recycling. Even though we have many different avenues to recycle, such as Waste Management Inc. providing a bin, people still choose not to use them or not use them by putting rubbish in the bin only causing more work for waste management. I negatively miss using the advantage that people in society are adding to the problem of how our environment is growing more and more. After reading Heather Rogers' article, I feel like it has awakened me to the real problems we are facing and although one person cannot change the world I will be more responsible with my trash and try to recycle so that change can restore the planet that we share. Rogers made it clear in providing evidence for his thesis, but perhaps he should have added improvements
