The Greek word for please is charis which is translated as grace, and this type of grace is a gift. The Scriptures tell us that God's grace is his unmerited favor toward men. Favor is given to men in measurements. Not all men have the same amount or measure of favor. Favor is a gift of grace in which one can grow. God's unmerited favor gives man access to God's presence in the same way that Jesus had access to God while on earth. Hebrews 10:20 provides a breakdown of the two elements of this grace which is access and power. “By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain to the Most Holy Place” (NLT Bible). This type of grace is applied because of the love of God. This grace is given based on the desire to be close to the Lord and to understand and abide in the presence of God. When this grace is not applied, no one is harmed or hurt in any way, this grace opens doors that normally would not have been possible
